Implementation and management of messaging flows with Apache Kafka For our client, a leading electronic invoicing company, we are looking for a Senior Backend Java Developer to join their development team. **PRIMARY OBJECTIVE** You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable backend solutions for enterprise applications, with a particular focus on microservices. This role is expected to play a key part in creating and optimizing electronic invoicing-related applications, ensuring code quality and compliance with standards. The ideal candidate must have experience with cloud services, especially AWS and Azure. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Develop and implement microservices using Java, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and high performance. * Design and integrate microservices into complex architectures, guaranteeing effective communication among them. * Implement and manage messaging and event-processing flows using **Apache Kafka**, ensuring high availability, resilience, and asynchronous processing. * Implement and optimize functionalities related to electronic invoicing management and processing, complying with current regulations. * Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, applying sound development practices and ensuring unit test coverage. * Monitor application performance in production and apply continuous improvements. * Deploy and manage services on cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure. * Collaborate with other developers, QA, DevOps, and analysts to deliver comprehensive solutions. **REQUIREMENTS** * University degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. * Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with Java. **KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS** * Proficiency in Java (8 or higher) and frameworks such as Spring Boot. * Experience in developing and implementing microservices. * Experience with **messaging systems and event processing (Apache Kafka)**. * Knowledge of relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases. * Experience with cloud services (AWS and Azure). * Familiarity with CI/CD tools. * Experience implementing electronic invoicing services. **OTHER VALUED COMPETENCIES** * Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). * Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). * Knowledge of design patterns and sound development practices. **CONDITIONS** * Salary: $2.500.000 – $3.200.000 net. * Contract type: Indefinite-term. * Work modality: On-site. * Location: 20 minutes from Tobalaba Metro Station. **BENEFITS** * 4 weeks of vacation. * Family group insurance. * Annual salary review. * Bonuses for achievement of objectives.
