The Bartender possesses foundational skills but consistently seeks emerging market trends and understands how guest needs evolve. This role is not merely about enthusiasm for the world of beverages—it is about being the bar host. The Bartender steps beyond the bar itself to take personal responsibility for the guest’s direct experience. They apply their knowledge and effort to achieve perfection in both the appearance and function of the bar. They build relationships with others within the hotel as well as within the local community. They must demonstrate passion for every guest’s experience, with attention to detail—the money passing through their hands, the information provided to guests, and pride in the quality of their beverages. In any position, there are fundamental elements essential to success—for example, maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, respecting confidentiality, protecting company assets, upholding quality standards, and ensuring professional appearance, grooming, and communication at all times. Guest Service Specialists are constantly on the move—they stand, sit, walk extensively, and perform various tasks (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance; reaching overhead, kneeling, twisting, stretching, and bending). It is essential that Guest Service Specialists perform their best work (and other reasonable tasks requested) to ensure guest stay success and our business success. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
