The position will be based at ITTEC with potential travel to the Llano project and/or any other company projects. **About the Role** Responsible for managing the technical competency development of mine maintenance personnel, ensuring proper implementation of training programs, competency assessments, and technical updates for maintenance teams. This role directly contributes to mining equipment availability and reliability by aligning technical training with Thiess safety and quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Plan, coordinate, and deliver technical training programs focused on mining equipment maintenance. * Assess competencies acquired during training and monitor technical and behavioral performance of maintenance personnel. * Keep training, assessment, and certification records updated in corporate platforms. * Identify and document technical training needs, aligning them with development plans and operational standards. * Propose improvements and reinforcements to training programs in line with technological advancements in equipment. * Promote a culture of safety, learning, and operational excellence across all levels of the department. **Evaluation Criteria** Internal candidates will be assessed according to the following criteria: **Mandatory Requirements (for Internal Mobility Applications)** * Minimum of 1 year of employment tenure at Thiess. * Higher Technical Qualification or Engineering degree related to heavy haul truck maintenance (completed degree). * Minimum of 5 years of experience working on Caterpillar equipment – traditional line (within or outside Thiess). * Valid Class B driver's license. * Availability to work at ITTEC with travel to mine sites for various trainings. * Residence in Antofagasta (Mandatory). * Experience (usage) of JD Edwards system. * Knowledge in Infomine data entry. * Knowledge of Thiess processes: ACM, Backlogs, TimeSheets, Remove and Install. * Experience using OEM Operation and Maintenance manuals such as Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu. * Practical experience using OEM systems such as Caterpillar SIS, Cummins QuickServe. * Experience analyzing electronic data through VIMS or Insite. **Desirable:** * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (for presentations, workshops, and reporting). * Experience in teaching, instruction, or training in mobile equipment maintenance. **How to Apply** If you meet the criteria and wish to continue developing your career at Thiess, we encourage you to apply through the internal portal before the application deadline.
