Technician I
Job Summary:
Specialized technician in disassembly, cleaning, evaluation, assembly, and diagnosis of equipment, leading maintenance and repair of pumping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead maintenance, inspection, and repair of pumping systems.
2. Diagnose, evaluate, assemble, and adjust equipment according to procedures.
3. Train new personnel in service activities.
Purpose of the Position:
Carry out medium-to-high complexity tasks related to disassembly, component cleaning, evaluation, assembly, diagnosis, assembly, adjustments, packaging, and painting of serviced equipment, in accordance with KSB-established procedures, completing all service-required protocols, whether performed in the workshop or on-site.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose, evaluate, assemble, and adjust equipment according to procedures and manuals.
* Supervise and execute proper disassembly, assembly, and commissioning, ensuring correct operation of serviced equipment.
* Register, inspect, and photograph designated equipment as initial procedure documentation.
* Perform disassembly, evaluation, and diagnosis of assigned equipment responsibly.
* Request necessary disassembly and dimensional control protocols and manuals to carry out requested procedures.
* Use instruments for dimensional control of components.
* Disassemble, inspect, and evaluate parts and components of serviced equipment.
* Request spare parts for approved equipment based on technical and economic evaluations conducted.
* Inspect the condition of tools and equipment used in the workshop and promptly report any deviations.
* Lead maintenance, inspection, and repair of pumping systems on-site or at customer facilities.
* Train new personnel, assistants, or technicians in various service activities.
* Possess knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations and policies (SIG).
* Propose ideas and solutions to improve and simplify proper service execution.
* Use company-provided vehicles, equipment, and machinery authorized and/or certified by the company and/or competent authority to support task execution.
* Provide solutions to optimize services through creation and revision of instructions, process documentation, and quality and safety checklists.
* Attend internal and/or external training courses in any format (online or in-person).
Position Requirements:
* Mechanical, Industrial, Electromechanical, or related Technician.
* Five years in a similar role (workshop) or experience in hydraulic pump inspection.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of metrology.
* Knowledge of hydraulics.
* Knowledge of assembly processes.
* Proficiency in using machines and tools.
* Communication skills to lead teams.
* Driver’s License Class D preferred.
