**POSITION DESCRIPTION FORM** **Job Title:** Engineering Manager **Department:** Engineering **Reports to:** Project Manager LatamEngineering Manager (USA) **GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB** **(Summary)** Responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating the Project Engineering group and its interaction with other office project groups. Responsible for the preparation and implementation of Engineering Procedures and for maintaining the required standards of technical quality in project work. Acts as engineering representative. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **Functional Responsibilities** * Develops, together with the Project Manager, the scope of engineering services to be provided * Establish design parameters with the client * Prepare the Engineering section of the PEP * Establish the engineering procedures and standards to be used on the project. * Establish flowcharts and distribution matrix for specifications, procurement packages, technical bid evaluation documents, vendor drawings, and fabrication drawings. * Participate in project planning and scheduling with the Project Manager and Lead Engineers * Control the engineering budget with respect to personnel reporting directly * Identify and prepare trend analyses and change notices to submit to the Project Manager for approval. * Develop a plan for documentation production, including CAD **Health and Safety** * Work in accordance with all health and safety rules and regulations applicable to cementation * Incorporate health and safety considerations into all daily job functions and activities. * Monitor the work environment to detect health and safety hazards or violations and report them to the Health and Safety Department. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Experience and Education** * More than 15 years since obtaining degree * Civil Engineer or similar * 15 years of experience in mining projects. * 10 years as Engineering Lead, or similar roles. **Skills, Knowledge, Abilities** * Excellent written and oral communication * Skills in decision-making and prioritization * Planning and organizational skills * Possess problem-solving skills and critical thinking. * Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as an individual contributor * Highly proficient in Excel and Word * General knowledge of applicable mining regulations, safety codes and laws preferred * Experience with CAD programs, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Advance Steel, Smart Plan (as applicable to discipline) preferred * Demonstrate positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in an engineering capacity. * Manage technical and engineering resources * Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training * Perform in a supervisory role and participate in career planning, learning, and development. * Provide technical leadership and supervise engineering staff for planning, design, and construction oversight of facility projects. * Assist the project manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets * Assist the project director in managing subconsultants * Under the direction of the project manager, interact directly with clients on all technical aspects of the project, including management of changes related to project work scope, contract terms, or any subcontract * Support business development through writing technical approaches, work scopes, and presentations to clients. * Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and drive solutions to meet deliverables Ability and motivation to lead technically complex projects * Cementation is an equal opportunity employer
