Coordinate shipments, suppliers, and logistics agents efficiently. **Import Assistant – 15-Day Vacation Replacement** A multinational company seeks to hire an **Import Assistant** for a 15-day vacation replacement, responsible for managing and comprehensively tracking import and export operations, ensuring accurate control, traceability, and compliance with logistics and international trade processes. The primary objective of this position is to guarantee operational continuity and the timely supply of parts, spare parts, and equipment by efficiently coordinating domestic and international shipments, suppliers, logistics agents, and internal departments. **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------- * Manage local and international procurement, ensuring compliance with commercial and contractual terms. * Request, analyze, and compare quotations from domestic and international suppliers. * Negotiate prices, payment terms, Incoterms, and supply conditions. * Coordinate procurement requirements with internal departments. * Monitor the supply chain to ensure timely deliveries. * Coordinate domestic and international transportation for imports and exports. * Manage customs compliance procedures and coordinate with customs agents. * Track shipments until final delivery to the customer. * Control storage and traceability of goods. * Prepare operational reports and cost analyses to support decision-making. * Identify opportunities for improvement in logistics and international trade processes. * Negotiate rates with suppliers and logistics operators. * Support tendering processes for logistics suppliers. * Maintain consistent communication with internal customers, suppliers, and strategic partners. **Requirements** -------------- ### **Education** * Technical degree or Engineering in International Trade, International Business, or related field. ### **Experience** * Minimum 4 years of experience in national and international logistics and international trade. ### **Technical Knowledge** * Advanced Office suite proficiency. * Intermediate-to-advanced Excel. * Proficiency in JDE system. * Knowledge of: * Incoterms. * Customs regulations. * Supply chain management. * Coordination of domestic and international transportation. * Warehouse management. ### **Languages** * Intermediate-to-advanced English. **Competencies and Skills** ------------------------------ * Teamwork. * Effective communication. * Customer orientation. * Autonomy. * Proactivity. * Adaptability. * Stress tolerance. * Conflict resolution. **Position Conditions** ------------------------- * Contract type: Vacation replacement (15 days). * Work mode: On-site. * Location: Pérez Valenzuela, Providencia. ### **Working Hours** * Monday and Tuesday: 08:00–17:30 hrs. * Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 08:00–16:30 hrs. * 30-minute lunch break.
