Responsible for compliance with SGS and client policies and standards regarding quality, safety and environment. Main responsibilities will include: * Ensure proper execution of sampling, mechanical sample preparation, metallurgical tests and chemical analyses in the laboratory, as well as safeguarding results, materials under responsibility and data to be recorded within established timeframes. * Control, coordinate and monitor all activities and resources required to implement and maintain the laboratory's quality management system. * Coordinate compliance with client requirements through resource management focused on this objective. * Provide operational instructions to shifts and manage efficient service delivery. * Address customer requests and inquiries. * Keep customers informed about the service, ensuring their satisfaction. * Review result reports prior to dispatch. * Generate or review general cross-functional documents related to the Laboratory Management quality system. * Ensure use of PPE and workwear by supervised personnel and compliance with hygiene and safety measures. **Requirements** * Formal Education: Education: Engineer or professional with chemical or metallurgical background. Advanced Excel knowledge * Experience Similar field or area: 3 years in chemical-metallurgical laboratories within concentrator plants Supervisory experience at Minera Escondida Similar position: 1 year in concentrator plant operations. * Minimum required competencies: Proficiency in good laboratory practices. Skills in coordination and teamwork to support quality management systems and statistical control. Knowledge of sampling techniques or methodologies in grinding, flotation and thickeners, mechanical sample preparation, metallurgical testing and chemical analysis in concentrator plants.
