Job Summary: Prepare and serve safe, balanced, and high-quality food to participants and staff while maintaining hygiene and managing supplies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Contribute to safe and efficient food management Fundación Hogar de Cristo, under Law No. 21.015 promoting the labor inclusion of persons with disabilities, seeks to fill the position of **Food Handler** to work in Castro. **Objective**: Daily preparation and delivery of safe, balanced, and high-quality food to participants and staff receiving in-kind meals, in accordance with the meal plan established by the Logistics Services Nutritionist. Additionally, the incumbent must receive, store, and properly use raw materials, maintain an updated inventory, and ensure cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas per current technical and sanitary guidelines. **Responsibilities**: * Execute daily delivery of safe food to participants, ensuring food complies with quality standards, sanitary safety requirements, and portion sizes specified in the nutritional meal plan, per guidelines issued by the Logistics Services Department. * Manage all supplies and equipment provided by the Foundation, ensuring proper receipt, storage, efficient use, and preservation; maintain an updated inventory; and ensure timely availability of necessary resources for food preparation and delivery. * Propose operational improvements for the food service area by identifying optimization opportunities related to the food menu, kitchen order and organization, supply receipt schedules, and other processes—aiming to support more efficient, safe, and needs-aligned management at Hogar. * Maintain optimal food delivery, guaranteeing food quality, temperature, presentation, and punctuality in distribution per standards set by the Logistics Services Department and participants’ nutritional needs. * Efficiently manage material and information resources assigned, to achieve goals established by Management and the strategic plans of Fundación de Beneficencia Hogar de Cristo and its subsidiaries. * Comply with Hogar de Cristo’s ethics and compliance frameworks, and act according to the current Crime Prevention Model developed under Law No. 20.393, safeguarding institutional accountability. **Requirements**: * Completed secondary education * Minimum one year of experience as a food handler. **Schedule**: Saturdays and Sundays, 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM (9 hours per week) **Location**: Castro, Los Lagos Region We invite you to join Fundación Hogar de Cristo—the largest charitable foundation in Chile, widely recognized for its work reducing social exclusion in our country and ranked among the best organizations to work for in Chile according to the international Great Place to Work® 2025 survey.
