Under Law 21\.015, which promotes the hiring of People with Disabilities into the workforce, Stantec invites you to join a leading company in sustainability by participating in our application process for the position of Functional Leader for the Mechanical\-Piping discipline, whose main objective will be to lead, manage, and technically coordinate the team, ensuring compliance with the discipline's scope in terms of quality and deadlines, aligned with the area's productivity goals. Specifically, the responsibilities of this role are: * Maintain the discipline’s staffing plan updated with ongoing projects and proposals in development. * Monitor the discipline’s productivity, taking concrete actions to keep KPIs in line with targets defined by Stantec. * Responsible for coordinating the discipline in assigning personnel to projects/proposals and monitoring their hours. * Keep current the standards and standard documentation required by the discipline for ongoing project development. * Ensure that designs and work produced by the discipline meet Stantec's and the client's requirements and standards. * Conduct and/or assign peer reviews to deliverables and designs developed by the discipline on current projects. * Act as Mechanical \& Piping Discipline Lead within a specific project, ensuring proper execution of assigned designs within established timelines and appropriate technical quality. * Review mechanical/piping calculations and designs developed by Engineers A, B, and/or C working under supervision on a particular project. * Perform duties as counterpart reviewer for engineering services from the Santiago office. * Perform duties as Proposal Leader, directing and coordinating the technical team for proposal preparation, meeting client deadlines and requirements. **Qualifications:** * Minimum 15 years of general experience in engineering projects. * Professional University Degree – Civil Mechanical Engineering. * Knowledge of flexibility analysis software, preferably Autopipe. * Knowledge of BIM methodology. * Proficiency in visualization software: CAD 2D, Navisworks. * Desired experience in stress analysis using industry-standard software (Caesar, Autopipe or similar). * Desired experience and/or knowledge in maintenance and integrity management of pipelines for transporting water, tailings, and mineral concentrate. * Knowledge of engineering designs related to infrastructure for tailings dams. * Intermediate level English language proficiency is a plus. **About Stantec:** We’re active members of the communities we serve.
