Position: Mechanical Welder for Equipment and Components at Pelambres Mine Site Position Purpose: Perform operational tasks, providing mechanical welding or assembly welding services for maintenance, assembly, repair, and/or replacement of equipment components. Responsibilities: Carry out repair and recovery of equipment parts using welding techniques, grinding, torching, Oxicorte, Oxycut, and Oxyflame. Lead, execute, or perform operational maintenance tasks, including repair, diagnosis, and/or component replacement for equipment, performing commissioning of components both in workshop and field operations, following procedures and operational controls established in the Integrated Management System (SGI), and reporting any incidents, non-conformities, or suggestions detected during operations. Accurately complete maintenance checklists, repair sheets, failure reports, and backlog requests. Prepare spare parts lists when required and request withdrawal authorization. Properly use the workshop's available infrastructure. Requirements: Completed secondary-level technical education. Two years of experience in mining equipment repair OR five years of experience as a qualified welder in mining processes. Qualified welder in SMAW\-FCAW\- processes, positions 3G4G, with knowledge and experience in using grinders, torching equipment, and oxy-gas processes. Compatible health condition and availability to work rotating shifts are required.
