La Coipa poured its first gold bar in March 2022 after resuming operations following suspension in 2013. Kinross is conducting an exploration program to potentially extend the mine’s life. Job Description Perform mechanical, preventive, and corrective maintenance on the Company’s equipment, facilities, and machinery, organizing the work team and ensuring work quality. Monitor equipment conditions to detect latent failures, diagnose, and anticipate complex failures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the maintenance process while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and the environment. Job Responsibilities * Execute various work programs related to preventive, corrective, predictive, and symptomatic maintenance of the Company’s equipment, facilities, and machinery. * Organize the work team on a daily basis. * Identify needs for changes in work planning and scheduling, and propose them to your supervisor. * Transport equipment and/or components to the workshop for maintenance or repair, and conduct field testing prior to delivery to the respective area. * Ensure strict compliance with company and departmental standards, procedures, and loss control measures. * Perform and ensure strict compliance with housekeeping requirements in your area. * Close work orders in the ERP system defined by the company. * Conduct field inspections to monitor equipment status and detect complex failures. * Issue inspection reports for submission to the Maintenance and Planning Shift Supervisor. * Any other duties assigned by management related to this position. Education and Experience * High school diploma and/or Technical Professional – Industrial qualification with specialization in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent. * Four or more years of experience in industrial and/or mining plant maintenance. * Knowledge of mechanical drawing interpretation, failure diagnosis and analysis, tolerances, transmission systems and their alignment, maintenance manual handling, hydraulics, among others. * Knowledge of metrology and semi-automatic MIG-MAG welding. * Knowledge of structure and operation of crushers, conveyor belts, feeders, and screens. * Class B driver’s license. * Proficiency in Word and Excel.
