Ensure operational continuity Apply now » Date: May 6, 2026 Location: Copiapó, III Region, Chile Kinross' La Coipa mine is located in the Atacama Region in northern Chile, approximately 1,000 kilometers north of Santiago and 140 kilometers northeast of Copiapó. La Coipa poured its first gold bar in March 2022 after resuming operations following suspension in 2013. Kinross is conducting an exploration program to potentially extend the mine's life. Kinross Chile has built strong relationships with its host communities based on trust and respect through engagement and consultation. The operation is powered 100% by non-conventional renewable energy to meet its energy requirements. Job Description Support field inspections, operation of small equipment, and manual operation of equipment as directed by the Shift Supervisor or more specialized operators, to fulfill production plans. Additionally, if instructed, the incumbent may operate specialized equipment, small mobile equipment, and assist with cleaning tasks in the assigned area. Job Responsibilities * Support the operation of equipment operated by more specialized operators. * Perform assigned minor maintenance tasks. * Carry out industrial cleaning and material removal tasks as instructed. * Maintain and oversee housekeeping in assigned areas. * Record and report routine measurements and inspections conducted. * Perform various field operational tasks to ensure operational continuity. * Conduct symptomatic equipment monitoring, record results, and communicate them to the telecontrol room. Education and Experience Formal Education: Intermediate Technical / Industrial Technical / Higher Technical Level Minimum 2 years’ experience operating in Mining Process Plants Other Knowledge: * General knowledge of processing equipment operation in mining plants * General knowledge of maintenance * Class B and D driver’s license Kinross is a senior global gold mining company headquartered in Canada, with operations and projects in the United States, Brazil, Mauritania, Chile, and Canada.
