Apply Now » Date: Apr 6, 2026 Location: Copiapó, III Region, Chile Kinross’s La Coipa mine is located in the Atacama Region in northern Chile, approximately 1,000 kilometers north of Santiago and 140 kilometers northeast of Copiapó. La Coipa poured its first gold bar in March 2022 after resuming operations following suspension in 2013. Kinross is conducting an exploration program to potentially extend the mine’s life. Kinross Chile has built strong relationships with its host communities based on trust and respect through engagement and consultation. The operation is powered 100% by non-conventional renewable energy to meet its energy needs.
