We consider inclusion and diversity as fundamental aspects for meeting present and future challenges******.*** At **ARAUCO**, we are seeking professionals to fill the role of **Expert Emergency Response Engineer** within the Process Safety Management department, based at our **Concepción office.** The **Job Objective** is to ensure that the Cellulose and Energy business operations have a robust and standardized emergency response capability, integrating prevention, preparedness, and resilience against high-impact incidents that could affect people, the environment, production assets, operational continuity, and legal and regulatory compliance. **Key responsibilities include:** * Develop and update cross-functional corporate and plant-level emergency response standards and plans, aligned with identified major risks. * Coordinate the implementation of emergency response systems across all operations (cellulose, energy, pipelines). * Define critical risk scenarios and develop emergency maps, evacuation routes, assembly points, and continuity plans in coordination with plant emergency teams. * Manage the integration of emergency plans with the Process Safety System and all departments responsible for industrial complex emergency plans. **Requirements** * Education: Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Civil Engineering, Occupational Risk Prevention, or related field. * Experience: 15 years in roles related to Fire Protection Systems and Emergency Management in industrial processes. * Demonstrable experience in the "pulp and paper" sector is desirable. * Knowledge of: + Emergency Response Management: familiarity with NFPA (NFPA 1600, NFPA 600, NFPA 15, NFPA 20, NFPA 72\), OSHA 1910\.38/120, and international operational continuity guidelines. + Emergency management for fire, operational incidents, and chemical events. + Process Safety Management (PSM/HSE): integration of emergency plans with major risks identified in HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, and BowTie studies, as applicable. + Fire Protection Systems. + Crisis Management and Planning. + Planning, execution, and evaluation of drills and training for operational personnel and Emergency Brigades, among others. * Strong ability to mobilize and align cross-functional teams within a matrix structure. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Advanced level of technical and conversational English. * Advanced proficiency in Excel, BI. * Class B driver's license. ***At ARAUCO, we work every day to develop renewable forest-based products that improve people's lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
