That’s why we invite you to join our **Procurement and Contract Management Submanagement team in Concepción** as a **Category Engineer.** Within the service chain delivering water to more than 3 million people, your mission will be to manage assigned categories with a global vision, leading tendering and negotiation processes under the Strategic Sourcing methodology for the company's strategic material or service categories, aiming to achieve improvements impacting total cost reduction, controlling inherent category risks, and safeguarding input quality and supplier service levels. For this, you will need to: * Manage assigned categories globally (market knowledge and internal spending, tendering processes, active contracts, contract modifications, etc) * Lead tendering and negotiation processes under the Strategic Sourcing methodology for the company's strategic material or service categories. Develop and implement procurement strategies for key expenditure categories. * Understand the category market (stay updated on suppliers and existing new services, how macroeconomic variables impact), meet with suppliers to explore new markets * Participate in and propose efficiency and innovation projects for the assigned categories. * Fulfill the Purchasing Plan and Department Goals. * Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, and laws.
