WE HAVE A PLACE FOR YOU* *This job posting complies with Law No. 21.015, which promotes the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the labor market.* GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To provide specialized technical service for maintenance, repair, inspection, and commissioning of surface drilling equipment—including Rotary and Boom Drill types—ensuring fleet availability and reliability. Execute scheduled maintenance, resolve unexpected issues, conduct failure analysis, and provide technical advisory support to customers, adhering to Sandvik and client standards and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Independently perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including complex repairs on equipment and installations. * Diagnose faults in systems and components using technical knowledge and propose effective solutions. * Provide on-site technical advisory support to customers, identifying opportunities for improvement and operational risks. * Propose improvements to maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. * Plan and manage required resources (tools, materials, spare parts) for task execution. * Supervise maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. * Coordinate major repair work and lead teams when required. * Prepare detailed technical reports on interventions performed. * Maintain ongoing communication with customers, providing recommendations to improve equipment availability. * Use and update maintenance management systems and equipment software. * Train and support junior technicians, transferring knowledge and best practices. * Promote technical team development through mentoring and continuous training. YOUR PROFILE: * Higher-level technical diploma or engineering degree in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanics, Heavy Machinery, or related fields. * Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in a similar role involving heavy machinery. * Knowledge of surface Rotary and Boom Drill equipment (mandatory). * Experience in supervising and leading work teams. * Basic technical English (mandatory). ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: * Willingness to travel within and outside Chile. * Availability to work rotating shifts as required by the company. * Class B driver’s license with minimum 3 years’ validity (mandatory). * Class D driver’s license (desirable). * Residence in the Antofagasta Region (desirable).
