We are seeking a Logistics Assistant (Forklift Operator) for our Talcahuano store to ensure proper receiving, storage, replenishment, and dispatch of goods—contributing to safe, efficient operations and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your purpose: Safely and efficiently execute in-store logistics processes (receiving, storage, replenishment, order preparation, and dispatch), ensuring product availability, inventory accuracy, and on-time deliveries in accordance with Construmart’s standards and procedures. Key responsibilities: * Operate forklifts/pallet jacks for loading, unloading, moving, and positioning products in warehouses and yards. * Perform goods receiving (documentary and physical verification; inspection for damage, quantities, and coding). * Carry out storage and shelf replenishment at point-of-sale locations, applying safety and organization principles (5S). * Prepare orders (picking/packing) and ensure timely and accurate dispatches per shipping documents/invoices. * Maintain inventory accuracy: perform cycle counts, simple adjustments, and ensure system traceability. * Comply with safety regulations and PPE requirements; conduct daily equipment inspections and report incidents. * Collaborate with warehouse, yard, and sales floor teams to ensure operational flow and high-quality internal customer service. * Maintain equipment condition and safety signage/zones (aisles, racks, loading areas). Requirements: * Completed secondary education. * Valid Class D driver’s license. * Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts/pallet jacks. * Knowledge of retail logistics processes (receiving, storage, replenishment, dispatch). * Basic proficiency in Excel/spreadsheets and management systems (WMS/SAP) is desirable. * Commitment to safety, order, and teamwork; availability for rotating shifts and weekends/holidays (retail schedule).
