Participation in interdisciplinary research lines **Academic Staff Member (1 vacancy)** **University Professors and Higher Education Faculty** ======================================================================================== ### **CONTACT INFORMATION** **Employer:** Catholic University of Maule **Economic Activity:** Higher education at private universities ### **DESCRIPTION** Position Objective: Carry out academic activities related to the disciplines of the Faculty or academic unit through undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, community engagement, and academic management, thereby contributing to the education of UCM students and strengthening the academic unit, as stipulated in the UCM Academic Staff Regulations. Responsibilities: Deliver undergraduate and graduate teaching in accordance with the academic schedule and respective training programs, supporting the development of UCM students. Produce high-impact scientific and/or academic publications aligned with the unit's disciplines and research lines, contributing to UCM’s scientific development and dissemination. Participate in interdisciplinary research lines by integrating internal and external, national and international networks, thereby enhancing institutional scientific output. Implement community engagement activities that address local challenges from the academic unit’s disciplinary perspectives, supporting the achievement of academic and mission-related objectives. Collaborate in academic management roles and/or committees as required by the unit, promoting its holistic development. Requirements: Professional degree or equivalent in fields related to the university’s training programs and/or research lines. Doctoral degree, preferably in UCM priority areas: a) Environment, natural resources, and energy; b) Education, human development, and society; c) Health, environment, and quality of life. Minimum 3 years of university teaching experience. At least 3 Web of Science (WOS) or Scopus publications within the last 5 years. Experience in community engagement within the candidate’s field. Desirable: Leadership role in one FONDECYT or equivalent project within the last 5 years. Desirable: Experience in university academic management.
