You will join a market-leading company, an international benchmark in sustainability and innovation, that values collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. **You will actively participate in various department processes:** **For Professional Internship:** * Participate in the conceptualization and design of the process control system for fermentation. * Define controlled and manipulated variables of the system, as well as establish actuation criteria and safeguards. * Connect the digital twin to the existing control panel in simulation mode, ensuring coherence and functionality of the simulated system. * Document processes, configurations, and results obtained during the control system simulation. **For Thesis:** * Implement advanced predictive control strategies (MPC/EMPC) applied to temperature and nutrient control in fermentation. * Validate the performance of the implemented control system through experimental tests or advanced simulations. * Compare results against the operational baseline and report performance improvements. * Prepare technical reports and final presentation with conclusions and recommendations. **What do you need to apply?** * Valid student insurance. * Final-year student in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields. * Knowledge in process dynamics and control, ideally with experience or interest in fermentation. * Basic/intermediate proficiency in simulation and control tools (Matlab, Python, or similar software). * Analytical skills, results orientation, and ability to work independently and in teams. * Availability to complete the internship (January\-February 2026\) and thesis development (March\-August 2026\). * On-site modality with limited flexibility in Talca. **What benefits do we offer you?** * Internship/thesis bonus provided. * Transportation and meal allowance/canteen access according to your practice location. * An excellent work environment and team highly willing to teach.
