Job Description **Residency:** Metropolitan Region. **PURPOSE** Lead and supervise the execution of capital projects, ensuring correct implementation of defined studies and designs, meeting schedules, budgets, and the company’s technical, operational, and safety standards. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring integration across engineering, construction, and operations. * Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards, promoting a zero-harm culture across all project phases. * Monitor project progress, identifying deviations in schedule, cost, or scope, and implementing timely corrective actions. * Manage human, technical, and financial resources, optimizing their use to ensure efficiency without compromising quality or safety. * Supervise proper application of technical standards and best practices in design, construction, and operations. * Lead project risk management, developing mitigation plans and ensuring operational continuity. * Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (operations, engineering, contractors, authorities), ensuring alignment and effective communication. * Drive continuous improvement by implementing innovations and enhancements that increase efficiency and effectiveness, reducing execution time and associated costs. Requirements * Professional degree in Civil Structural Engineering, Civil Works, Hydraulic Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * Postgraduate studies in a field related to engineering, projects, or management—or proven experience in a role of comparable complexity. **Professional Experience:** * Minimum 15 years’ experience planning, coordinating, and controlling development of medium-scale, multi-disciplinary projects. * At least 8 years leading multidisciplinary project teams in the mining sector or in engineering firms serving the mining industry. **Specific Knowledge:** * Familiarity with standards and best practices for developing mining projects aligned with large-scale mining standards. * Understanding of the value chain and interdependencies among key operational processes in mining operations. * Financial and budgetary evaluation tools for projects. * Knowledge of risk management, environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and applicable safety standards. * Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools such as PMI, Agile, and Lean Construction. * Competence in project management software including Microsoft Project, Primavera, ACONEX, and advanced MS Office. **Interpersonal and Leadership Skills:** **Team Processes:** * Ability to be an effective team member—listening, clarifying tasks, and giving and receiving feedback. **Collaboration:** * Builds positive working relationships with a diverse range of people from various disciplines. * Strong communication skills, ability to justify positions and engage in constructive debate. **Other Requirements:** * Willingness to work on-site on a 5x2 schedule within the Metropolitan Region. * Medical fitness suitable for high-altitude geographical locations. * Advanced English (mandatory) * Class B driver’s license with at least 3 years’ validity.
