Job stability and a positive work environment Hereditas SpA seeks to hire a reliable, proactive, and service-oriented Systems Support Technician to deliver internal technical assistance, ensure the continuous operation of our IT infrastructure, and support the entire team in using tools and systems. You will serve as the primary contact for resolving technical incidents, maintaining operational computers and networks, and ensuring daily operations proceed without interruption. This is a key position for the company's technological stability, offering learning and growth opportunities within the IT area. Main Responsibilities * Provide on-site and remote technical support to users regarding computers, operating systems, applications, networks, and corporate tools. * Install, configure, maintain, and update desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and general-purpose software. * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and system access failures, documenting each incident and its resolution. * Manage user accounts, permissions, passwords, and access to networks, folders, and platforms according to internal policies. * Perform data backups, verify their successful execution, and assist in complying with security and backup policies. * Assist in basic server, network, and communications equipment maintenance. * Guide and train users on correct tool usage and sound IT practices. * Prepare reports on resolved incidents, tasks performed, and identified needs. Qualifications and Requirements / Academic Background * A **Higher-Level Technical Degree** in Computer Science, IT Support, Networks and Telecommunications, Executive Engineering in Computer Science, or a related field. * Graduates or technicians with mid-level technical qualifications and demonstrable experience in systems support are also considered. Work Experience * Minimum **1–2 years of experience** in technical support, equipment maintenance, or IT assistance. * Experience in corporate environments or supporting internal users is highly valued. Essential Technical Knowledge * Proficiency in **Windows operating systems** (client and server), Microsoft Office suite, and productivity tools. * Knowledge of **hardware maintenance and repair**, including diagnosis of failures in computers and peripherals. * Fundamental concepts and configuration of **LAN/WLAN networks**, IP addressing, TCP/IP protocols, and connectivity. * Familiarity with remote access, diagnostic, and monitoring tools. * Basic knowledge of information security, backups, and data protection. Skills and Competencies * Excellent **user interaction skills, patience, and clear, straightforward communication**. * Analytical ability, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. * Organization, methodology, and proper documentation of performed activities. * Responsibility, discretion, and commitment to information confidentiality. * Willingness to move around the company’s facilities. * Openness to learning new tools and staying up to date. Additional Requirements * Residence in Santiago or the Metropolitan Region. * Valid documentation and work authorization in Chile. * Availability to work full-time.
