Position Overview Genetica Ltd. is seeking a **Software Engineer** to join our technology team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of software solutions supporting our biotechnology and diagnostic operations. The successful candidate will work closely with software, product, laboratory, and business teams to build reliable, scalable, and secure applications. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who enjoys solving complex problems and working in an innovative environment. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, and maintain high\-quality software applications. * Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well\-documented code. * Collaborate with product managers, engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements. * Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and third\-party services. * Troubleshoot software issues and implement effective technical solutions. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to software development standards. * Develop automated tests to improve software reliability and quality. * Monitor application performance and assist with optimization. * Maintain technical documentation and development workflows. * Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, processes, and applications. * Follow appropriate security and data\-protection practices when handling sensitive information. * Stay informed about emerging software development technologies and best practices. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. * Previous experience in software development or engineering. * Strong knowledge of at least one programming language such as **Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C\#, or similar**. * Understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures. * Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases. * Familiarity with RESTful APIs and software integrations. * Understanding of Git and version\-control workflows. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing reliable software. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. * Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or DevOps practices. * Experience with modern web frameworks or backend technologies. * Knowledge of automated testing and test\-driven development. * Experience working with data\-intensive or scientific applications. * Previous experience in **biotechnology, healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory technology, or life sciences** is an advantage. * Strong English communication skills are an advantage for working with international technical resources and partners.
