Essential Technical Knowledge** Must have mastery in the following areas: * **Digital Radio Communications (DMR/TETRA/NXDN):** o **Essential:** Specific experience with **DMR (Digital Mobile Radio)** systems, including **conventional multi-site architectures**. Knowledge of ETSI DMR standards. o Familiarity with Motorola, Hytera, Kenwood, Icom equipment and their configuration. o Design and optimization of coverage networks, including propagation studies and frequency planning. o RF components: Combiners, multicouplers, preamplifiers, antennas, jumpers, feeders, and their characteristics. * **IP Networks and Telecommunications:** o **IP Network Design and Implementation:** Topologies, routing, switching. o **Quality of Service (QoS):** In-depth knowledge of how to prioritize voice traffic (VoIP) and critical signaling (latency, jitter, packet loss \< 0.1%). o **Industrial Networking:** Experience with industrial switches and their configuration. o **Protocols:** TCP/IP, SNMP, NTP, VLANs. o **Network Security:** VPNs, Firewalls, network segmentation. * **Power and Backup Systems:** o **DC System Design:** Rectifier power supplies, battery banks, LVD. * **Backup Systems:** Autonomy calculation, battery configuration. * **Chilean Electrical Regulations:** Technical Specifications RIC (No. 4, No. 18, etc.) and NCH Elec. 4/2003. * **Electrical Protection:** Circuit breakers, differential devices, fuses. * **Infrastructure and Light Civil Works:** * **Conduits:** Knowledge of types (EMT, PVC Conduit, cable trays, HDPE ducts), service segregation, fill ratio. * **Grounding:** Design and implementation of grounding grids, RF grounding kits, equipotential bonding. **Crucial:** Knowledge of Chilean electrical and telecommunications regulations in this regard. * **Monitoring and Management Systems (NMS/SCADA):** * **Sensor Integration:** Understanding of how to integrate telemetry data (repeater status, power, RF) into a centralized monitoring platform (NMS). * **Communication Recording:** Understanding of recording architectures and *Port Mirroring* requirements to ensure redundancy. * **Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS):** Understanding of integrating electric fences and other security sensors, and how their alarms are centralized. * **Projects:** * **Project Management:** PMP certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
