We encourage you to take the time to explore the opportunity for a career at Freeport\-McMoRan. **Description** --------------- **Mining Engineer II** The primary role involves performing work related to mine production planning, translating into tasks such as mineral control, evaluation, design, and preparation of mining plans. All of the above must be carried out efficiently, safely, with quality, and focused on safe production, thereby ensuring operational continuity within the area. **Essential Functions** * Adhere to and comply with safety, occupational health, and environmental requirements. * Respond to requirements related to company policy and mine production plans, whether short-, medium-, or long-term. * Implement and carry out mineral control activities, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual plans. * Design and structure production statistics. * Design new mineral zones, haul roads, pit wall slopes, dumps, or others. * Develop special projects assigned by the Engineering Superintendent. * Carry out activities that promote and impact safety, the environment, energy efficiency, gender equality, and operational excellence. * Perform any other tasks assigned within their area of responsibility. **Qualifications** ------------------ **Minimum Requirements** * Degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum two years of experience in open-pit mining (planning, operations, fragmentation, etc.). * Knowledge of mining design. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and mining software (Minesight, Vulcan, AutoCAD, others, etc.).
