Job Summary: We are seeking First-Level Mechanical Technicians to carry out repair and maintenance of mechanical and structural components in underground mining. Key Highlights: 1. At **SIGMA S.A.**, we are currently recruiting **First-Level Mechanical Technicians (M1\)** to join a major maintenance contract at **Chuquicamata Underground**. The position will focus on executing repair and maintenance tasks for mechanical and structural components, ensuring compliance with the company's established safety, quality, and operational continuity standards. **Main Responsibilities** ------------------------- * Perform repair and maintenance of mechanical and structural components. * Diagnose and assess the condition of mechanical components and subcomponents. * Assemble and install crushing and material transport equipment. * Use mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic tools according to established procedures. * Interpret manufacturer drawings and apply advanced metrology techniques. * Strictly comply with the contract's safety and quality procedures. **Requirements** -------------- **Mandatory:** * Diploma from an Industrial High School or Technical Training Center (CFT) in Mechanics or a related field. * Proven experience of **at least 3 years** in mechanical maintenance in mining. * Knowledge of mechanical component diagnosis and assessment. * Experience in repairing, assembling, and installing crushing and material transport equipment. * Knowledge of advanced metrology and drawing interpretation. * Proficiency in using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic tools. * Availability to work on a **7x7 shift schedule**. * Medical fitness compatible with working at high geographic altitude and in underground mines. **Conditions** --------------- * **7x7 shift schedule**. * Work location: **Chuquicamata Underground**. * Accommodation provided by the company. * Air transportation from Santiago, La Serena, and Concepción, plus ground transportation as required. * Fixed-term contract, with potential extension based on performance and project needs. **What Are We Looking For?** ------------------ We seek individuals committed to safety, focused on work quality, with experience in mining mechanical maintenance, and capable of performing effectively within high-operational-standard work teams. **Apply now and become part of SIGMA S.A. in a major underground mining project!**
