Job Summary: We are seeking Kitchen Assistants for a major food service company, responsible for food preparation, maintaining hygiene, and supporting the team during rotating shifts. Key Highlights: 1. Essential support in preparing dishes and culinary preparations. 2. Responsibility for maintaining hygiene and order in the work area. 3. Active collaboration within a dynamic casino team. A prominent food service and general services company is seeking Kitchen Assistants to work under a rotating 10x10 shift schedule. Main Responsibilities: - Review the daily menu daily. - Wash, sanitize, and disinfect ingredients to be used in dish preparation. - Perform preparatory tasks: frying, boiling, portioning, baking, among others. - Provide support to the chef or chef trainee, following their instructions and adapting to immediate needs. - If applicable, perform tasks independently from the supervisor; for example, taking charge of the cold kitchen, pastry section, or partial and/or full preparation of a dish. - Use kitchen tools correctly and safely: knives, meat grinders, slicers, among others. - Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area. - Comply with the company’s hygiene, quality, and safety standards for food and kitchen utensil handling. - Perform other ancillary tasks as required by operational needs and supervisor discretion, supporting the entire casino team’s work. Requirements: - Completed secondary education. - At least one year of experience in this position or similar roles. - Basic knowledge of fundamental cutting, cooking, and seasoning techniques; types of meat; basic preparations; use of kitchen equipment; hygiene and food handling standards. - Knowledge of high-volume kitchen operations.
