At GeoBlast, we are seeking a Lead Geotechnical Geologist to lead bench mapping projects in the Antofagasta Region. The role aims to ensure the quality, consistency, and updating of the mine's structural model through supervision, interpretation, and modeling of geological structures, guaranteeing proper technical, operational, and safety management of geotechnical-structural mapping activities. **Main responsibilities:** Supervise the mapping team on both shifts, ensuring QA/QC of generated outputs. Capture and process drone imagery. Perform immediate interpretation and modeling of structures (intermediate, major, and primary), as well as generate structural shells. Manage the service database, ensuring smooth communication with the database team. Continuously update and validate the Structural Model, ensuring consistency of faults identified in the field. Advanced proficiency in software: Vulcan, Point Studio, Tangram, Leapfrog, Rocscience. Solid knowledge in geotechnical parameter characterization from benches.
