Recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity, we have more than 95,000 employees and a network of over 2,400 offices and laboratories worldwide. **Job Description** **GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES** * Manage and maintain the quality system regarding records, authorizations, accreditations, and certifications of the laboratory. Ensure proper compliance with standards and procedures established by SGS in Chile regarding personnel competencies, equipment calibration, corrective actions and quality system records. * Ensure implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory's quality management system according to the requirements of NCh-ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 standards. * Responsible for submitting applications for extension, renewal, accreditation of new parameters, and laboratory authorizations. * Administer and control documentation, ensuring its validity as part of the management system. Participate in the development of procedures, instructions and records. * Ensure compliance with calibration, maintenance and verification programs for laboratory equipment and instruments, including their respective documentation and records. * Participate in technical working meetings, audit processes and other instances such as standards committees, meetings with authorities and others. * Monitor and control QA/QC by laboratory areas. Execute ongoing follow-up and control of management system processes. **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES** * Ensure follow-up of SAC records for improvements, preventive actions and corrective actions from any origin (complaints, audits, non-conforming work, others). * Prepare information and participate in management review meetings of the quality management system. * Maintain and manage personnel records (CVs, degree certificates, training certificates, authorizations to perform tests, among others), supervising that information is available and up to date for audit purposes. * Ensure test method validations and uncertainty calculations are completed. * Support technical and management areas in handling and closing complaints and non-conforming work. * Gather, validate and prepare quality reports and plans to be completed by technical/operational areas according to customer requirements. * Lead audit processes, inspections by authorities, customer visits, among others; * being responsible for responding to their requirements. Provide support or collaboration to other coordinators when necessary, both on-site and remotely. * Conduct talks and/or training sessions for laboratory staff to instruct on modifications or new documents, or other necessary topics. * Carry out follow-up of data entry procedures and preparation of spreadsheets for laboratory reporting. * Implement internal quality controls within the Chemical/Metallurgical laboratory. * Deliver test reports to SGS supervision and MEL. * Analyze and review reported results for correct interpretation. * Carry out follow-up of quality, safety and environmental protection standards, adhering to provided procedures. **Requirements** **PROFILE** * Mining, Metallurgy, Chemistry or related field. Experience * Work experience: At least 2 years. * Experience in position/area: desirable knowledge in metallurgical processes and quality. Tools: * Proficiency in Excel. * Proficiency in client-required software. **Additional Information** Health compatible with operational risk: Exposure to particulate material and mineral samples.
