We consider inclusion and diversity fundamental to meeting present and future challenges.*** **ARAUCO** is seeking professionals with a degree in **Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering**, with experience in maintenance planning, to serve as **Planning Engineer** for our **Forestry Business** in the **Chillán Region.** **What is the main objective of this position?** To plan and control short-term maintenance plans for harvesting equipment and road fleets, ensuring operational continuity, resource optimization, and adherence to the technical budget, in accordance with the Maintenance Planning area’s strategic guidelines. **What will you do?** * Develop the Semi-Annual Master Maintenance Plan, considering workload hours, equipment criticality, and intervention strategies. * Estimate required human, material, and service resources for the annual plan and its projections. * Coordinate with the Procurement Department for advance short-lead-time material planning. * Validate and monitor projected maintenance costs, ensuring alignment with the budget. * Provide feedback to schedulers regarding technical deviations and priorities. * Participate in technical reviews, audits, and continuous improvement analyses of the maintenance process. * Periodically report to the Planning Manager on the status of the Semi-Annual Plan, deviations, gaps, and optimization proposals. **What do you need to apply?** * Professional degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Industrial Engineering or related field. * Minimum 2 years of experience in planning and/or harvesting. * Class B driver’s license (mandatory). * Advanced SAP PM proficiency (mandatory). * Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel). * Basic Project software skills (desirable). **What do we offer?** * Opportunities for professional development and technical learning within the company. * Join a team focused on operational excellence and safety. ***At ARAUCO, we work daily to develop renewable forest products that improve people’s lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
