Are you ready to begin? *With us, you can.* **About This Opportunity:** At WSP, we are seeking an **Electrical Engineer** to join our Electrical Engineering team in Santiago. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical engineering associated with copper processing plants, participating in various project phases—from conceptual and feasibility studies through detailed engineering and construction support. **Responsibilities:** * Develop, review, and coordinate electrical engineering for copper processing plants. * Prepare and review single-line diagrams, load lists, design criteria, technical specifications, data sheets, quantity take-offs, drawings, conduit layouts, and cable schedules. * Perform or review electrical calculations for cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, load flow, motor starting, protection coordination, grounding, and lighting. * Conduct technical evaluations of equipment and vendor proposals. * Coordinate interfaces with process, mechanical, piping, civil, structural, instrumentation, and control disciplines. * Verify compliance with project standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations. * Participate in interdisciplinary reviews, interference detection, and constructability analysis. * Support site visits, surveys of existing installations, and resolution of technical queries during construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning. **Requirements:** * Professional degree in Civil Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum 5 years of professional experience. * Demonstrable experience in electrical engineering development for copper processing plants, including crushing, grinding, flotation, thickening, filtration, tailings handling, water treatment plants, and auxiliary systems. * Proficiency in electrical design and calculation software such as ETAP or DIgSILENT PowerFactory. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and document management platforms. * Desirable experience with SmartPlant Electrical, AVEVA, Navisworks, or other multidisciplinary coordination tools. * Ability to independently perform engineering tasks and technically coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and field personnel. * Class B or higher driver’s license. * Availability for site visits and occasional assignments as a field engineer supporting construction. * Availability to work in Santiago. **What We Offer:** * Opportunity to be part of a global leader in engineering and consulting. * Participation in challenging and innovative projects. * Collaborative and multidisciplinary work environment. * Opportunities for learning and professional development. \#LI\-MS1 \#Chile **Primary Location** CL\-CL\-SANTIAGO**Schedule** Full\-time**Employee Status** Regular**Job Posting** Aug 5, 2026, 10:18:46 AM
