Contribute to system stability, automation, and operational efficiency **About the Role** ------------------ We are looking for a **HSS DevOps Engineer** based in Santiago to strengthen our support presence in Mining systems and platform. This role will act as a key bridge between local business operations and the global Technology team, helping mitigate challenges related to **time zone differences** and **language barriers** when handling support tickets originating from the Mining for America region. The ideal candidate is a technically strong DevOps professional with excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, capable of operating in a distributed global environment while providing hands\-on local support. **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ ### **Operational Support** * Serve as the primary local technical point of contact for MinAm support tickets. * Provide L2/L3 troubleshooting and technical analysis for HSS applications, services and DevOps platforms. * Collaborate with global DevOps and engineering teams to maintain SLA compliance. * Assist in incident management, escalation, and resolution across different time zones. ### **DevOps \& Technical Operations** * Manage deployments, environment configurations, and application monitoring. * Support CI/CD pipeline execution and improvements. * Contribute to system stability, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency. * Help maintain service observability (logging, alerting, dashboards). ### **Business Engagement** * Communicate effectively with Spanish\-speaking stakeholders in the region. * Capture local requirements, recurring issues, and user feedback to improve service quality. * Partner with the global HSS team to align processes, documentation, and standards. ### **Continuous Improvement** * Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce operational burdens, and improve response times. * Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for new applications entering the MinAm landscape. **Required Qualifications** --------------------------- * **3\+ years of experience** in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Application Support. * Strong knowledge of **Linux/Windows environments**, scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell), and automation tools. * Experience with **CI/CD platforms** (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.). * Familiarity with **cloud environments** (Azure, AWS, or GCP). * Solid understanding of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, etc.). * Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. * **Fluent Spanish** and strong **English communication** skills. **Preferred Qualifications** ---------------------------- * Experience supporting **industrial, manufacturing, or mining** environments. * Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incidents, Problems, Changes). * Familiarity with HSS applications or similar enterprise platforms. * Background working in distributed/global teams. * Ability to operate autonomously and take ownership of local support activities.
