Description

### **Description** We’re looking for a versatile Software Engineer to join our Santiago team, helping build tools that help organizations measure the use of their physical space, in a reliable and scalable way. We’re looking for an engineer who likes understanding how different systems connect with each other, from business systems through APIs to communication routers. This is a hands\-on role for someone who thrives on solving complex problems from first principles and owning solutions end\-to\-end. The stacks are AWS, REST APIs, web\-sockets, web\-services, interoperability. If you’ve ever wanted your place to automatically identify when you just arrived home because it detected your cellphone, you’ll fit right in.### **What You’ll Do** * Build integrations between communication systems and business backends. * Build integrations with enterprise communications systems. * Automate deployments and enforce security baselines * Resolve Tier 3 escalations with an engineering\-first mindset — fix root causes, not symptoms * Build internal tools, reusable scripts, and documentation that scales with the team * Occasionally interface directly with co\-managed customers to implement projects ### **What We’re Looking For** * Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate with US\-based teams. * 5\+ years in software engineering * 1\+ years in DevOps * Strong hands\-on experience with: + Communications hardware and software. + Infrastructure as a code. + Backend systems development. * Deep understanding of networking. * Comfortable working in structured, security\-conscious environments * Familiarity with Git workflows (e.g., branching, pull requests, merge conflicts). * Bonus Points: + Exposure to Higher Education systems and operations + Experience with WiFi hardware ### **Benefits** * Fun team activities every month to build strong bonds. * An office in a great area, with plenty to enjoy nearby. * Snacks and drinks are always stocked in the office. * Weekly team lunches to recharge and connect. * Home office 2 days per week. * You’ll work closely with high\-caliber US\-based companies. * Comprehensive health and dental insurance to keep you covered. * Wellness activities cash\-back. ### **About Andes Path** Andes Path is a Chilean–US engineering and design studio building for the frontier. We work with cutting\-edge US startups and F500 innovation teams tackling real\-world problems in robotics, AI, simulation, and infrastructure. Our clients are fast\-moving, technically ambitious, and building things that haven’t quite been built before. We operate like product teams, not outsourcing shops — with high\-trust relationships, sharp execution, and a deep respect for craft. Our team is small, low\-ego, and serious about building exceptional products. While we have a core office in Santiago, we’re remote\-friendly across the Americas. Our culture is fast\-paced, collaborative, and grounded in mentorship, clarity, and ownership.
