Commitment to safety, innovation, and sustainability Sandvik Mining is seeking: **TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CONTRACT – ENGINE (MOTOR)** DO YOU FOCUS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HAVE A PASSION FOR WINNING? **WE HAVE A PLACE FOR YOU** *" This job posting is governed by Law 21.015, which promotes the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the labor market."* **GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:** Responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections of **engines** used in Sandvik mining equipment, managing commissioning, ensuring maximum operational availability of equipment, and delivering specialized technical support to customers onsite. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on engines in Sandvik mining equipment. * Conduct advanced diagnostics and analysis of mechanical and electronic failures. * Carry out major repairs, evaluations, and technical inspections of engines. * Generate detailed technical reports of interventions performed. * Guide engine commissioning processes and operational testing on Sandvik mining equipment. * Use diagnostic tools and engine monitoring software. * Provide specialized technical support to customers and internal teams. * Identify business opportunities related to spare parts and services. * Ensure compliance with EHS standards and company procedures. **YOUR PROFILE:** * Higher Technical Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field. * Minimum 4 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of diesel engines for mining applications. * Knowledge of Cummins, Deutz, Caterpillar, or similar engines (mandatory). * Experience in electronic diagnostics and failure analysis. * Ability to interpret technical manuals and specialized documentation. * Proficiency with digital tools and service platforms. * Basic technical English (mandatory). **OTHER REQUIREMENTS:** * Availability to work rotating shifts, as required by the company. * High availability for domestic and international travel according to operational requirements. * Class B driver’s license, minimum 3 years’ validity. * Class D driver’s license (desirable). * Residence in Copiapó (mandatory). **Work Location: Northern Region** **APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:** * **Sandvik Internal Candidates:** Access Intranet Vacancies Job ID: **R0096029\.** * **External Candidates:** www.sandvik.com “Careers”, enter code **R0096029** (create user account, **upload updated CV**, and **complete questionnaire**, if applicable). *Sandvik is an equal opportunity employer.
