The selected candidate will be responsible for operating motor grader equipment, contributing to the efficiency and safety of mineral extraction operations, and playing a vital role in preparing the work environment, access routes, and material transport within the underground mine. Key responsibilities include: Operating motor grader equipment to perform terrain grading and maintain transport roads in underground mining work areas, such as loading faces, ramps, and dump sites. In addition to grading, primary tasks include moving rocks and material, cleaning galleries, and constructing roads. Prior to commencing activities, verify required operational and safety conditions of equipment by completing equipment checklists and pre-task risk assessments. Prepare shift activity reports, including daily drilling data, equipment availability and utilization, and identified deviations, among others. Submit reports to the shift supervisor upon completion of the shift. Comply with all legal and regulatory competencies and training requirements for the position to be filled. Perform all role-related activities in accordance with the RMMS Management System guidelines: Health and Safety, Business, Governance, Environment, and Social Aspects. While performing job duties, adhere to occupational health and safety policies, standards, and procedures, considering associated risks and protective measures. Stay informed and maintain conduct aligned with anti-corruption, ethics, code of conduct, human rights, diversity and inclusion, and workplace and sexual harassment policies. What qualifications are required? Completed secondary education. Minimum 3 years of experience operating support equipment (road maintenance) in underground mining. Equipment training for motor graders, front-end loaders, and backhoes. Willingness to reside in the province of Copiapó. Valid Class B and D driver’s license. Medical fitness for underground mining work. Availability to work on a 4x4 shift schedule.
