Job Summary: Perform maintenance and repair of underground drilling equipment, identifying and resolving failures to keep equipment operational and safe. Key Responsibilities: 1. Identify and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures. 2. Repair and inspect components to ensure proper equipment operation. 3. Support the development of less-experienced technicians. Work is performed on-site at the client’s facilities, adhering to Sandvik’s safety and quality standards. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on underground drilling equipment. * Identify and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures. * Repair and inspect components to ensure proper equipment operation. * Conduct operational tests after repairs are completed. * Interpret manuals and technical documentation to support maintenance activities. * Request and manage spare parts, materials, and tools required for scheduled work. * Prepare technical reports and document completed work. * Provide technical support to the client and collaborate with other functional areas. * Share knowledge and support the development of less-experienced technicians. * Comply with and promote Sandvik’s and the client’s health, safety, and environmental standards. **YOUR PROFILE:** * Technical or engineering degree in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanics, Heavy Machinery, or related fields. * Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a similar role with heavy machinery. * Experience in maintenance of underground drilling equipment (mandatory). * Knowledge and experience with underground loaders (desirable). * Basic technical English (mandatory). * Valid SEC license (desirable). **OTHER REQUIREMENTS:** * Willingness to travel within and outside Chile. * Availability to work rotating shifts, as required by the company. * **Class B driver’s license, minimum 3 years’ validity (mandatory).** * **Class D driver’s license (desirable).** * **Residence in Copiapó (mandatory).** **Work Location: Atacama Kozan Contract** **APPLICATION PROCESS:** * **Sandvik Internal Candidates:** Access Intranet Vacancies Job ID: **R0096034\.** * **External Candidates:** www.sandvik.com “Careers”, enter code **R0096034** (create user account, **upload updated CV**, and **complete questionnaire**, if applicable). *Sandvik is an equal opportunity employer.
