At Babel Chile, we seek an Android Developer with mid-level experience to join digital product development teams, participating in the design, development, and evolution of Android mobile applications. The role focuses on code quality, sound architectural practices, and collaborative work in agile environments. Main Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications. * Implement features using Java and Kotlin. * Apply MVVM architecture and design patterns. * Build interfaces using XML and Jetpack Compose. * Ensure proper implementation of Material Design / Material 3. * Manage versions and workflows using Git and Gitflow. * Design and maintain testing strategies based on the test pyramid. * Integrate services and features via Firebase. * Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum / Kanban) using Jira. * Collaborate with Backend, QA, and UX/UI teams to ensure end-to-end quality. Profile Requirements Mandatory Requirements: * 2–4 years of experience as an Android Developer. * Development in Java and Kotlin. * Experience applying MVVM architecture. * Use of Git and Gitflow workflows. * UI development using XML and/or Jetpack Compose. * Knowledge of architecture and design patterns. * Implementation of Material Design / Material 3. * Experience working under agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban). Desirable Requirements: * Prior experience in the Telecommunications sector. * Knowledge and application of the test pyramid. * Experience with Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Auth, etc.). * Strong proficiency in unit and integration testing. * Prior experience with apps published on Google Play. * Adherence to best practices in quality, maintainability, and performance.
