Kinross's La Coipa mine is located in the Atacama Region in northern Chile, approximately 1,000 kilometers north of Santiago and 140 kilometers northeast of Copiapó. La Coipa poured its first gold bar in March 2022 after resuming operations following a suspension in 2013. Kinross is conducting an exploration program to potentially extend the mine's life. The operation is supplied with 100% non-conventional renewable energy to meet its power needs. **General Purpose of the Position:** Technically lead the supervision, design, and quality assurance of water infrastructure studies and projects, ensuring each project meets technical, regulatory, and sustainability excellence standards, acting as a technical bridge between internal teams, suppliers, and consultants, promoting innovation in efficient water use and ensuring compliance with our Corporate Water Strategy. **Functions:** * Plan follow-up and control of water infrastructure projects related to the exploitation of surface and groundwater rights. * Develop, maintain, and actively monitor detailed schedules (Gantt/Critical Path) for each infrastructure project. * Control project budgets and costs through periodic tracking of execution, validating change orders and physical progress. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, preferably in Hydraulics, Water Resources, Civil Works, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. 3 to 5 years of experience in engineering projects and studies focused on efficient water use in mining or other industries is required. * Desired experience or training in areas related to hydraulics, fluid mechanics, hydraulic structures design, project management, and environmental regulations related to water resources. **Other knowledge:** * Proficiency in Office tools and collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint). * Proficiency in design and simulation tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydraulic simulation software) and geographic information systems. * Knowledge of computational tools for project management and planning (Primavera, MS Project, or others). * Knowledge of water management and efficiency in mining. * Skills in managing and analyzing technical data and documentation. **Languages:** English - Basic. **Shift:** Work will be performed on a five days on, two days off shift at the Copiapó/Santiago offices. **INDEFINITE CONTRACT** We invite you to join a unique team with great challenges.
