Apply now » **Date:** Jun 8, 2026 **Location:** Copiapó, III Region, Chile **Company:** Kinross Gold Corporation **Job Description** -------------------------- Lead the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and facilities within your area of expertise, ensuring worker safety during your assigned shift, in accordance with received planning and Kinross Group corporate policies, to achieve the equipment availability committed in the budget and maintain reliability, thereby ensuring operational continuity of the Plant. **Job Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Properly allocate resources assigned in the provided maintenance planning related to your area of expertise to ensure plant operational continuity. * Review details of Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Maintenance Plans. * Identify and define priorities for emergent maintenance needs jointly with Plant Operations. * Propose improvements to scheduling. * Validate daily scheduling. * Evaluate daily completed activities, uncompleted activities, and their causes, defining re-scheduling requirements. * Ensure closure of work orders in the company-defined ERP system. * Ensure compliance with Safety and Environmental policies. * Monitor execution of scheduled work together with the Contractor’s Supervisor and in-house workers. * Supervise on-site work execution, verifying its quality. * Receive contractor-provided work, verifying that it meets quality requirements to ensure plant availability and reliability. * Report key performance indicators (KPIs) and costs. * Define maintenance requirements, develop contract scopes, and request tenders from KSL. * Participate in the Technical Evaluation of Bids during tendering. * Support definition of next year’s plant maintenance requirements. * Ensure personnel safety in processes under your responsibility. * Lead and promote achievement of group objectives within your teams, facilitating employee development in a positive work environment and promoting Kinross values. **Education and Experience** --------------------------- **Professional Experience** 10 years of experience in maintenance of Industrial Mining Plants. **Professional Degree** Mechanical/Electrical Construction Engineer or Civil Mechanical Engineer with 5 years of experience, or Specialist Mechanical Technician with 10 years of experience. **Technical Knowledge** * Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) techniques. * Maintenance management system (ERP). * MS Office. * MS Project. **Licenses and Certifications** Valid Class B driver’s license, desirable or required depending on site conditions. **English Proficiency Level** Basic.
