Maintenance Planner

No matter your role, you will be part of a team building the future of agriculture, solving the world’s food challenges through innovation, technology, and putting people first. **POSITION PURPOSE AND KEY CHALLENGES** This position will lead **maintenance planning activities within the operations team at the Arica Research Center.** This role will plan, manage, and lead best maintenance practices in assigned areas of responsibility, focusing on effective resource utilization and execution excellence, while providing guidance to the team. Your primary responsibility is to maximize asset reliability and availability, while minimizing costs and reducing downtime. To perform this role efficiently, a combination of technical skills and asset management knowledge is required. Additionally, you will work closely with program supervisors to achieve planned outcomes for assigned tasks. * Conduct field inspections to determine work scope and develop detailed maintenance plans for all equipment in the operations area. * Lead, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring: activities are executed according to the Preventive Maintenance Plan, each machine and equipment is available for timely use, and best maintenance practices are implemented. * Maintain historical information and technical documentation for equipment, infrastructure, and machinery at the Arica facilities. * Ensure maintenance plan support for the implementation of new infrastructure\-machinery/assets, through resource availability and activity coordination. * Analyze data and continuously monitor established KPIs for maintenance activities across the entire operations team. Prepare reports for managers and team leaders related to maintenance KPIs. * Plan and monitor inventory and availability of critical spare parts; ensuring uninterrupted operation without part shortages or delays due to spare part access. * Participate and collaborate in budget development and tracking of resources for areas under responsibility. * Be responsible for daily preventive and corrective maintenance activities (testing, inspections, problem diagnosis, and repairs of machines, panels, and equipment). * Participate and collaborate in continuous improvement and lean methodology proposals for operations teams. * Participate and assist in supervising contractors performing specific tasks and processes for site maintenance requirements. * Stay informed about implementing maintenance-related standards and subsequent site execution. * Maintain safety policy aligned with maintenance strategy. * Participate in monitoring and evaluating individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback. * Supervise RASS K, contractors, temporary and third-party workers. * Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork. * Identify team training and development needs. **PROBLEM SOLVING** * Be prepared to take appropriate and immediate actions, and if necessary, modify maintenance plans due to emergencies or changes in field program strategies. * Implement in the short term a preventive and possibly predictive maintenance strategy to maintain site production, balancing workforce based on priorities. **DECISION MAKING** * Balance resources and define approach to address new situations and demands while maintaining normal operations. * Be able to identify and mitigate safety risks related to maintenance procedures and be prepared to gain further technical knowledge to identify issues and find solutions in infrastructure, equipment, and machinery. * Must be capable of providing both proactive and reactive solutions for workforce management and technical support across all areas. * Supervise contractors for maintenance tasks when required, and be responsible for excellence in operational performance. * Organization of tasks based on equipment planning. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND EXPERIENCE** * Minimum 3\-4 years of experience in maintenance planning operations within productive industries * Advanced knowledge of maintenance software (Fracttal, SAP, etc.) * Field and office work (60/40%).
