We are currently seeking a **Rigger** for a major mining project located in the Antofagasta region. **Conditions:** * Shift: 8x6 * Site: La Negra, Antofagasta * Contract Type: Fixed-term **Objective:** Provide guidance and support to the crane operator via visual signals or radio communication, ensuring safe and precise lifts. Calculate lifting angles, evaluate load distribution, and determine appropriate techniques for each operation, guaranteeing compliance with safety and efficiency standards for lifting operations. **Responsibilities:** * Guide the crane operator using visual signals or radio communication to ensure safe and precise lifting. * Calculate lifting angles and assess weight distribution to prevent risks during the operation. * Determine optimal strategies and maneuvers for lifting and transporting loads based on site conditions and equipment status. * Develop specific work plans for each lifting operation, ensuring all variables are considered. * Select and inspect lifting equipment, verifying its compatibility with the load to be transported. * Closely coordinate with the crane operator and work team to optimize process safety and efficiency. * Verify compliance with safety regulations and protocols throughout the lifting operation. * Hold full authority during the operation and may stop it immediately if any condition jeopardizes personnel or load integrity. * Coordinate and supervise tasks performed by team members. **Requirements:** * Completed secondary education. * Knowledge of international regulations and standards applicable to Rigger work. * 4 years of experience in high-tonnage lifting, or at least 3 years in lifting operations within mining and construction. * Defensive driving course.
