Our core values are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers and the planet. **Job Description** **Albemarle is hiring for Plant Salar, Salar de Atacama, an Operations Supervisor.** The role is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and controlling operational activities related to wells, ponds, salt harvesting, lithium leaching, and concentrated lithium brine production, ensuring compliance with the production program, company procedures, and safety, quality, and operational continuity standards. **What You’ll Do** ---------------- * Lead, plan, and control concentrated lithium brine production operations, ensuring achievement of operational objectives and the production program. * Coordinate and supervise brine extraction and pumping activities from wells, guaranteeing efficient and safe operations. * Supervise, develop, and evaluate the assigned team, promoting high performance, safety, and procedural compliance standards. * Monitor proper execution of lithium leaching and salt harvesting operations, ensuring operational continuity and process quality. * Monitor operational indicators and coordinate corrective actions as needed to meet production plans.*(Adaptation based on the position’s mission and responsibilities).* * Promote compliance with safety standards by actively participating in preventive and risk management activities. * Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements and contribute to continuous operational improvement. * Coordinate operational resources and activities to ensure efficient and sustainable execution of processes under your responsibility. **What You Bring** ---------------- ### **Required** * University professional degree in Civil Engineering, Executive Engineering, or a related field in mining, industrial, or process engineering.*(Adaptation consistent with the position level and required university education).* * Specific experience of 3 to 5 years in supervision of production operations or industrial processes. * Total work experience between 5 and 10 years. * Experience leading field-based teams. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Knowledge of lithium brine concentration processes, topography, and salt chemistry. * Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office. * Basic English for reading non-complex texts. * Availability to work at Plant Salar on a 7x7 schedule. ### **Preferred** * Experience in mining, lithium, or continuous industrial processes. * Experience in well, pond, leaching, or salt harvesting operations. * Knowledge of operational indicator management and continuous improvement. * Experience leading teams in high-operational-demand environments. * Familiarity with quality, safety, and environmental management systems. **Albemarle is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified candidates will be considered for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
