Diperk, a leader in equipment distribution and services, is searching for top talent to fill the role of **Mechanical Technicians for Generator Sets**, to be based at its Antofagasta branch**.** This role is responsible for providing technical support to equipment, machinery, and engines within the company’s product portfolio. It entails conducting diagnostics on major components and systems, as well as performing large-scale repairs. Work is carried out either in the workshop or on-site, as required. The technician assists the supervisor and may make decisions of moderate responsibility. They may supervise the installation and removal of components and lead equipment repair and commissioning processes to the highest technical and quality standards. Responsibilities: * Perform preventive maintenance (filter, oil, coolant replacement; valve adjustment; fan belt inspection; and system review protocols) across all equipment models. * Perform minor corrective maintenance (component replacement and targeted repairs) and major corrective maintenance (Top Overhaul – Complete Engine Overhaul) for equipment models represented by the company. * Assemble major components (cylinder heads, fan blades, water pumps, air and oil coolers, etc.), including assembly procedures with corresponding adjustments and torque specifications. * Analyze written technical materials such as service manuals, parts catalogs, and mechanical and electrical forms. * Conduct and execute pre-delivery and technical delivery inspections of equipment and machinery. * Perform basic configurations and adjustments on generator set transfer panels. * Prepare technical reports to support equipment and component evaluation and repair processes, according to requirements and priorities established by the immediate supervisor. * Support and assist warranty processes, including failure evaluation, root cause analysis, and technical reporting. * Responsible for daily activity reporting (HH Report), expense reimbursement, and service reports. * Adhere to technical, safety, and customer training and instruction programs. Requirements: * Technical higher education degree or engineering degree in mechanical engineering or related field. * Minimum 3 years of experience with generator sets. * Customer service experience. * Knowledge of internal combustion engines and their systems, machinery, electrical and hydraulic systems—including their respective components—with capability to diagnose and repair. * Failure analysis skills and ability to prepare root cause reports to substantiate failures and services. * Residency in Antofagasta (mandatory).
