Finning, the strategic partner of CATERPILLAR and leader in equipment distribution and services, is searching for top talent to fulfill the role of **Senior Technician (A)**. **Job Description Summary:** You will be responsible for diagnosing major components and systems, performing large-scale repairs, coordinating work execution, and working either in the shop or in the field as required; additionally, you will assist the supervisor and make mid-level responsibility decisions to supervise component installation and removal and/or replace the Supervisor in specific functions or tasks, or perform field duties. **Primary Job Responsibilities:** * Diagnose, evaluate, and generate work orders using Caterpillar’s technical and administrative software. * Analyze written materials such as service manuals, parts manuals, and mechanical and maintenance forms for equipment maintenance/repair. * Use and operate electronic tools. * Conduct tests, adjustments, and fault location in both field and shop environments. * Prepare Service Reports. * Perform repairs across the general product line and provide repair recommendations. * Operate and inspect machines after repair. * Demonstrate proficiency in fault analysis. * Carry out activities in accordance with quality management instructions received, and actively participate in area-specific actions to comply with the Risk Prevention and Sustainable Management Policy. **Requirements:*** Graduate technician or professional from an Institute or University, specializing in automotive mechanics, electronics, or electricity. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of mining-sector equipment, primarily shovels. * Must have successfully performed the duties of at least a Technician C. * Work under a 7x7 shift system under the Los Colorados contract. * Possess health compatible with performance at high geographic altitude.
