The position aims to guarantee equipment availability and reliability, meeting Sandvik’s and the client’s defined safety, productivity, and service standards. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance work on contracted equipment. * Lead and allocate technical team activities according to operational planning. * Promote a safety culture, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, procedures, and Life-Saving Rules. * Ensure customer equipment availability, reliability, and operational continuity. * Provide technical support and maintain ongoing communication with the client regarding contract performance. * Develop, train, and mentor the assigned team, promoting their growth and performance. * Manage people-related processes, including performance, workplace climate, training, and team development. * Ensure adherence to maintenance programs and availability of tools, spare parts, and resources required for operations. * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to optimize safety, productivity, and contract outcomes. **YOUR PROFILE:** * Degree in Engineering or Higher Technical Education in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or related field. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in supervisory or similar roles within the mining industry. * Knowledge of mining equipment maintenance. * Experience leading fieldwork teams. * Knowledge of and commitment to Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental standards. * Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Office tools. * Ability to lead people, make decisions, and build collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams. * Basic English proficiency desirable. **OTHER REQUIREMENTS:** * Availability to work rotating shifts as required by the company. * Availability to travel domestically and internationally per operational requirements. * Class B driver’s license, with minimum 3 years’ validity (mandatory). * Residence in Antofagasta (desirable). **Work Location: Lomas Bayas Contract** **APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:** * **Sandvik Internal Candidates:** Access Intranet Vacancies Job ID: **R0095550\.** * **External Candidates:** www.sandvik.com “Careers”, enter code **R0095550** (create user account, **upload updated CV**, and **complete questionnaire**, if applicable). *Sandvik is an equal opportunity employer.
