Finning, Caterpillar’s strategic partner and leader in equipment and service distribution, is seeking top talent to fill the **Technology Manager** role. **Job Description Summary** You will be responsible for leading and directing the mining technology strategy for Finning South America across Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia, overseeing the administration, support, standardization, evolution, and integration of advanced mining technologies associated with Caterpillar, Finning, and third parties. You will lead multidisciplinary teams specializing in fleet management systems, mining autonomy, connectivity, technologies, digital platforms, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence applied to mining, engaging continuously with commercial teams, product support, operational contracts, corporate technology, Caterpillar, Finning Canada, and mining customers. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the availability, reliability, safety, and performance of technologies deployed at mining sites, guaranteeing that delivered technology services generate value for our customers through improvements in productivity, operational safety, asset utilization, cost reduction, and effective adoption of new technologies. **Required Knowledge:** * Advanced knowledge of mining technology systems, fleet management, mining autonomy, and digital platforms—ideally Caterpillar (MineStar, Command, AHS, DSS, Terrain, Health, and equivalents). * Knowledge of IT/OT architectures, industrial connectivity, mining telecommunications, and cybersecurity. * Knowledge of technology service management, technology governance, and technology asset administration. * Knowledge of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, data governance, and information visualization tools. * Knowledge of mining operations and maintenance processes, equipment productivity, and mining contract management. * Proficiency in English for technical and commercial engagement. **Required Academic Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. * An MBA or postgraduate studies in Technology, Innovation, Automation, or Digital Transformation are desirable. **Required Experience:** * 10 years of experience in the mining industry. * Experience leading mining technology or automation departments. * Demonstrable experience in mining technology systems, autonomous fleet management, implementation and operation of IT/OT projects, and management of technology service contracts.
