Our core values are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers and the planet. **Job Description** Albemarle is hiring for **Salar Plant, Salar de Atacama**, a **Network Engineer**, on a 4x3 work schedule. **General Objective** This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and operational continuity of IT/OT/IIoT network and communications infrastructure through administration, support, and implementation of technological solutions, contributing to compliance with corporate standards and enabling a secure, efficient, and connected operation. **What You’ll Do** ---------------- * Administer IT/OT/IIoT network and communications infrastructure, ensuring its proper operation, availability, and performance. * Ensure continuity of connectivity, network, and associated system services through support, monitoring, and maintenance activities. * Implement configurations, solutions, and technological improvements aligned with corporate standards and guidelines. * Evaluate technical requirements, projects, and technological infrastructure initiatives, contributing to their correct implementation. * Coordinate network- and communications-related activities, projects, and services, interacting with vendors, users, and internal departments. * Monitor technological infrastructure performance and manage preventive and corrective actions to ensure operational continuity. * Contribute to compliance with organizational security, quality, and best practice standards. **What You Bring** ---------------- ### **Mandatory** * Professional degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Connectivity and Networks Engineering, or a related field. * 1–3 years of experience in administration, support, and implementation of network and communications infrastructure. * Total work experience between 3 and 5 years. * Knowledge of networking, switching, routing, enterprise networks, and technological infrastructure administration. * Experience supporting and ensuring operational continuity in critical technology environments. * Intermediate English (reading and understanding technical documentation and conversations). * Leadership skills, ability to coordinate technical activities, and collaborative teamwork. ### **Desirable** * Certifications in networking, telecommunications, or technological infrastructure. * Knowledge of IT/OT environments and IIoT technologies. * Experience in mining or continuous-process industries. * Knowledge of cybersecurity applied to industrial infrastructure. **Albemarle is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified candidates will be considered for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
