Participation in external coating of steel piping **!JOIN OUR TEAM!** At **United Pipeline Systems, Inc.**, we are a strategic partner specialized in delivering solutions to pipeline integrity challenges through high-performance thermoplastic systems for the oil, gas, industrial, municipal, and mining sectors. We are currently seeking a **Grinder** for an important mining project located in the Antofagasta region. **Conditions:** * Shift: 8x6 * Site: La Negra, Antofagasta * Contract Type: Project-based. **Objective:** To perform finishing and adjustments in the thermofusion process, including pipe preparation and cleaning prior to welding, as well as cutting and beveling when required. Work must ensure quality, precision, and safety at every process stage. **Responsibilities:** * Perform precise finishing and adjustments on thermofused components, ensuring clean, uniform joints compliant with required quality standards. * Carry out pipe cleaning and preparation prior to welding. * Operate electric and manual tools with precision, ensuring safe and efficient execution of grinding, cutting, and finishing tasks. * Know and apply safety procedures associated with grinding, cutting, and beveling activities. * Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) specific to assigned tasks. * Analyze the work environment before commencing grinding tasks. * Prepare and demarcate the work area, ensuring all required documentation, materials, and equipment are available. * Remove bevel caps and inspect the pipe surface to be prepared. * Perform pipe cutting when required. * Participate in the external coating process of steel piping, maintaining a clean surface compliant with established procedures. **Requirements:** * Completed secondary education. * 5 years of experience in this position. * Completion of courses in mechanics and construction (desirable). * Knowledge of use and handling of tools and equipment related to this position.
