Direct technical coordination with Engineering and Planning departments Technical Draftsperson / CNC Nesting Programmer – Antofagasta At Manpower Chile, we are currently looking for a Technical Draftsperson / CNC Nesting Programmer to join directly the team of a leading engineering solutions company serving large-scale mining in the city of Antofagasta. What will be your mission? Ensure proper preparation, optimization, and programming of parts for CNC cutting machines. Your role will be critical in evaluating designs using engineering drawings, optimizing material (steel) usage, and guaranteeing process quality through specialized software for highly complex mining components. Main challenges: Use nesting software to prepare and program cutting parts. Import, clean, and correct geometries from DXF files. Interpret complex technical drawings (including international standards such as those from the U.S. and Australia). Configure cutting parameters (lead-ins, lead-outs, micro-joints, and clearances) according to steel type and thickness. Maximize material utilization to reduce waste and generate traceability reports. Coordinate technical requirements directly with Engineering and Planning departments. What do we require from you? (Mandatory Requirements): Education: Higher Technical Diploma in Technical Drawing. Experience: 2–3 years in similar roles within the metalworking or industrial sector (machine shops, boiler-making, or heavy manufacturing). Software: Solid proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools. Technical skills: Advanced drawing interpretation and technical knowledge of steel types. English: Basic proficiency (focused exclusively on reading international technical drawings). Residence: Must currently reside in Antofagasta. Position conditions: Employment: Direct contract with the main company (internalized). Net monthly salary: $1,200,000. Work schedule: 5x2 (Monday to Friday).
