At **United Pipeline Systems, Inc.**, we are a strategic partner specializing in delivering solutions to pipeline integrity challenges through high-performance thermoplastic systems for the oil, gas, industrial, municipal, and mining sectors.
We are seeking a **QA/QC Supervisor** for a major mining project located in the Antofagasta region.
**Terms:**
* Shift: 7x7
* Site: Puerto Coloso.
* Contract Type: Fixed-term.
**Objective:**
Coordinate, supervise, and ensure the execution of construction activities in compliance with established quality standards, ensuring that processes and materials used meet technical specifications, applicable regulations, and client requirements. Implement and maintain the quality management system, leading inspections, audits, and quality controls at each project stage.
**Responsibilities:**
* Ensure quality management for the contract (inventories, procedures, plans, programs, audits, ICM, etc.)
* Ensure quality in each maintenance process under the contract
* Ensure document management for the service (procedures, work instructions, step-by-step BOS, records, protocols, etc.), maintaining current documentation on-site and ensuring continuous updates—whether due to site requirements (e.g., PTC) or process changes.
* Monitor and report on the quality of key maintenance activities (Major Maintenance, failures, contingencies, critical tasks), as required by contract supervision.
* Track and manage service non-conformities, ensuring corrective action plans address the root cause of deviations.
* Track and manage certifications and calibrations of service equipment and tools. Verify this condition on-site.
* Ensure effective implementation of quality controls on-site (Inspection and Test Plan for welding, torque, earthworks, grouting leveling, piping alignment, equipment installation, etc.)
* Drive quality improvement initiatives for the contract.
* Promote a culture of quality in service so that workers perform their tasks in accordance with defined quality controls.
* Timely management of quality information, maintaining all required supporting documentation.
* Partial site presence: 50% (Coloso / Mine Site)
* Lead weekly quality meetings with team members
* Attend contract-specific visits and meetings
* Participate in investigations of incidents, accidents, and service-related non-conformities, as required.
* Ensure on-site quality of key maintenance activities during Major Maintenance (Overhaul or Outage), failures, contingencies, and critical tasks.
* Ensure continuous uploading of quality documents or records related to specified works, equipment, and tools, to ensure full traceability.
* Failure to use certified or valid tools will constitute a non-conformity against contract compliance, as will errors, omissions, or deficiencies in quality certificates for equipment overhauls or outages.
* Must ensure readiness for audit processes by maintaining all documentation related to maintenance process quality, as well as validity of equipment and tool certifications essential or inherent to performing the maintenance contract.
**Requirements:**
* Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field
* 5 years of experience
* Preferred knowledge of piping and welding
* Proficiency in international and local quality standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001
* Knowledge of internal auditing and root cause analysis
