The main objective of the role is to perform various laboratory analysis services related to the composition, properties, and reactions of the chemical and physical elements that make up samples. It involves carrying out methodologies at all levels of complexity and being responsible for compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies and standards. Key responsibilities include: * Ensuring the correct execution of assigned analysis methods or determinations, including performing verification calculations, safeguarding results and materials under their responsibility, and recording data within established timeframes. * Preparing, securing, or organizing necessary supplies, equipment, and/or accessories required for laboratory analyses, handling chemical reagents and controlling their quality prior to use. * Ensuring compliance with all activities related to sample treatment, preparation of reagents and standards, as well as ensuring result integrity according to current procedures. * Evaluating results, minimizing errors or deviations, recommending corrective actions, and complying with quality, safety, and environmental policies and standards. **Requirements** * Formal Education: Chemical Engineer, Chemistry Graduate, or University-trained Chemical Analyst. * Experience: At least 5 years in large-scale mining laboratories. * Minimum required competencies: Proficiency in good laboratory practices, knowledge of quality standards, and experience in analytical techniques or methodologies for mineral analysis. * Experience in Atomic Absorption * Residence in Calama **Additional Information** We offer * Professional Development Plan * Birthday and Christmas gifts for employees' children * Life insurance from day one of joining the organization * Special leave permissions * Benefits through Caja los Andes and associated agreements * Ongoing training
